I am originally from Argentina. In 1996, I rode my bicycle on a two-year journey from Argentina to Alaska, starting with little money and no contacts. Along the way, I made friends and wound up visiting San Francisco. I fell in love with our great city and decided to make my life here. I returned to San Francisco and worked in restaurants, for the SPCA, in construction, then became an EMT, and eventually became an electrocardiogram technician at SFSU. I also volunteered at SF General Hospital which led to me taking a job at Stanford Children’s Hospital.
I have also been running my own business for the last 15 years, and two years ago I became a real estate agent. As you can see, California has given me wonderful opportunities to work hard and make a better life for myself and my family. The best thing from my move, however, is that I met my wife here, and we now have two wonderful school-age children.
